Singer Ashleye Armelin released her new video “Stay Awhile” this week. The clip finds the singer showing off her moves with some friends in a warehouse setting. This is mixed with shots of her giving sultry looks to the camera showing she’s not afraid to be fierce. Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think.
This song is the follow up to her debut single “Name On It,” which she dropped last year. Roc Nation wrote and arranged the song, while CallMe Parker produced it. It received some attention for its unique blend of country pop over R&B grooves. Speaking about the song, she said “I make music about how I’m feeling, and I know someone out there is going through the same thing I’m going through at some point in time. It’s dope that my fans and I are so in tune with each other, so I just want them to know it doesn’t always have to end bad.” Though Armelin is a newcomer in music, she’s worked with some heavy hitters in the industry. Her early single “One in a Million” found her working with Grammy-winning producer Bob Robinson along with writer Malik Yusef (Kanye West, Beyonce).
