Bullet For My Valentine announce new album Gravity

Last weekend, Welsh metal rockers Bullet For My Valentine premiered their new single “Over It” on BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show With Daniel P. Carter. The rock-oriented track comes from their upcoming album Gravity, out June 29 via their label Search and Destroy. So far the tracklisting and other information haven’t been released, but that should be on the way soon.

Gravity is the band’s sixth album and their first without original drummer Michael “Moose” Thomas. Last December, the band revealed that Thomas was out of the band with Jason Bowld as their new member. Bowld first took over for Thomas in 2016 when he sat out of shows to spend time with his wife, who was expecting their first child at the time.

Starting May 1 Bullet For My Valentine will head out on their spring North American tour with Trivium and Toothgrinder. Check out the dates here.

Saba and Chance the Rapper team up for new song ‘Logout’

Chicago boys back at it again! Chance the Rapper has teamed up with fellow Chicago native Saba on the new track “Logout.” The track appears on Saba’s latest album Care For Me. On the track, the two talk about society’s social media obsession. Saba talks about the isolating effects of social media but admits he’s guilty of getting lost in it too. Check it out above.

Care For Me is out now. In support of the new album, Saba will embark on a North American tour. Dates kick off April 11 in Philadelphia. He’ll also play this year’s Pitchfork Festival in Chicago’s Union Park. It goes down July 20 – 22. Tickets are on sale now. Check out all of Saba’s tour dates here.

Chicago Artist Spotlight: Hunnid

Hunnid’s rap career was born out of devotion, hard work, and staying true to ethics. Born and raised in Chicago, Kevin Jacobs, aka Hunnid, is an award-winning artist, songwriter, producer, and engineer. He discovered his talent for rapping and writing back in high school during intense freestyle battles. Since then, he’s worked hard establishing his own career and he does it all independently.  The approach has worked for him so far as he was nominated for Best Chicago Artist in 2014 for the Chicago Independent Music Awards.

Last month, Hunnid released the video for his latest single “Money Up.” The song comes from his upcoming untitled EP, which he’s been working hard at. While there’s no release date in mind, he’s been keeping fans in the loop by sharing singles from the EP. Hopefully, we get to hear more from Hunnid soon. Check out “Money Up” above and be sure to follow Hunnid on Twitter and his website to get the latest updates.
