In an effort to cast light on deep underground Chicago rappers deserving of much more attention we bring you “Trillmatic Freestyle”. The artist is 25 year old rapper named Breeze. This one comes with a groovy visual as well. It uses the beat from ASAP Mob’s 2013 song “Trillmatic”, and the energy of this freestyle is very 90s. The vibe is lively and brash, much like many acts from the 90s.

From watching the video you can see that it starts with a more modern spin. However, it switches to a more 90’s style visual about halfway through. Breeze’s lyrics are smooth and well-articulated. I personally really like the flow. It wears it’s influences without biting them whatsoever. Keep an eye on his Soundcloud for future drops from Breeze and his team “Tha Shipmates”.
