It’s almost summer in Chicago, which means we’re just a few months away from the Taste of Chicago. The event not only brings the city’s best food, but also great music and this year’s line-up has been announced. The Roots, The Decemberists, Elle King, The Isley Brothers, Kongos, and Transviolet are some of the acts slated to play this year’s event in July.
Indie band The Decemberists and Shakey Graves will play a concert hosted by WXRT-FM 93.1 at Petrillo Music Shell in Grant Park on July 8th. “Ex’s and Oh’s” singer Elle King along with Kongos and Transviolet will play their show on July 7th at 5 PM. There’s no charge to enter the Taste of Chicago, but there are limited seats for concerts. Tickets go on sale this Friday (April 29) at 10 AM at tasteofchicago.us. The Taste of Chicago takes place July 6 – 10.
The Decemberists released their seventh studio album, What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful last year. Elle King also dropped her debut, Love Stuff, in 2015.
