The 1975 tours hits the Shrine Auditorium after releasing their sophomore album

The 1975

English alternative rock band The 1975 seem to get bigger with each year. Since their self-titled 2013 debut they’ve been getting in good with both critics and fans alike. They proved they could be even better and more sensuous with their 2016 sophomore effort I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It, which  peaked at the top spot on the Billboard Charts. With hit singles like “The Sound” and “Love Me,” the band remains fun and flirtatious, especially with frontman Matthew Healy strutting around shirtless ala Michael Hutchence.

The band brings that same energy and sexiness to their live shows as their recent set at Shrine Auditorium shows. Dousing the place with purple and blue mood lights, the band ran through their hits along with other songs from their new album, like “UGH,” “She’s American,” and “Somebody Else.” Check out pictures from their adrenaline inducing set below and make sure to check them out next time they come to town.
