PWR BTTM at Bottom Lounge

June 9, 2016

Chances are you’ve never seen a punk band quite like PWR BTTM. Comprised of the duo Liv Bruce and Ben Hopkins, they’re a queer punk band who bonded over the interest of bringing in elements of performance and drag into DIY culture. So it’s no surprise to see the two appear on stage in wild, flamboyant outfits. When they initially started, Hopkins played guitar and sang while Bruce sat behind the drumkit. ¬†Since they began writing songs together, they now happily trade off instruments and vocals duties leading keeping listeners on their toes. The duo is still up and coming since they’ve only released two EPs so far: Cinderella Beauty Shop in 2014 and Republication National Convention in 2015. PWR BTTM is currently working on their full length debut, which is expected to be released sometime in the future on both Father/Daughter Records and Miscreant Records.
