Polica at Thalia Hall

April 16, 2016
Polica Band

Since getting together in 2011, Polica have been hard at work making and putting out music. In case you haven’t heard, Polica are a synthpop/alternative rock band straight out of Minneapolis. The band, featuring Ryan Olson (production), Channy Leaneagh (vocals/synth), Chris Bierden (bass/vocals), Drew Christopherson (drums), and Ben Ivascu (drums), recently released their third album United Crushers. The album is a continuation of the band’s signature synth and percussion heavy sound with complex arrangements and heavy hitting punches. The record also explores new territory for the band as they wrote all the songs together in one room in the span of 10 days. This release is the follow up to 2013’s Shulamith, which peaked at number 33 in the UK. They dropped their debut, Give You the Ghost, in 2012. They play at Thalia Hall April 16th with MOTHXR as the opening act.
