When asked to name the most iconic and influential grunge bands of the 90s Pearl Jam’s name always comes up. Where as most bands of the era fizzled out or flat out quit, Pearl Jam has stood the test of time. They broke through the mainstream with their 1991 debut Ten, which has gone on to sell over 10 million copies and has been certified platinum thirteen times. Since then they have released ten studio albums, including Vs. (1993), Vitalogy (1994), Backspacer (2009), and their most recent Lightening Bolt (2013). With smash hits like “Even Flow,” “Jeremy,” “Alive,” “Daughter,” and “Animal” Pearl Jam are now considered one of the most successful American bands in rock music. Now, you have a chance to catch this legendary band when they play two nights at Chicago’s Wrigley Field on August 20th and 22nd.
