Melvins, Napalm Death and Melt-Banana at The Metro

Apr 22, 2016
Napalm Death

This is a night to remember as two legendary bands take the stage. First, there’s extreme metal Napalm Death, often considered as one of the pioneers of grindcore. They’ve been creating headbanging music and scaring parents since the early 80s. According to Nielsen SoundScan, they are also the seventh best selling metal band in the United States. They have fifteen studio albums under their belt, with their latest being 2015’s Apex Predator – Easy Meat. Then you have the Melvins featuring frontman Buzz Osbourne who’s not afraid to say whatever is on his mind. Their blend of punk, metal, and rock was an early influence on what was to become grunge. And if you’re a Nirvana fan you know the Melvins have quite a history with the late Kurt Cobain. Their new album, Basses Loaded, is coming out June 3rd. Japanese noise rock band Melt-Banana will be joining the heavy hitting bands as the opening act.
