Ms. Lauryn Hill at Ravinia

September 1, 2016
Hill, Lauryn Ms Lauryn Hill

The unforgettable Lauryn Hill is finally back! Though we’re still impatiently waiting for a new album, Ms. Hill will be playing the Ravinia on September 1st. You won’t want to miss catching this reclusive artist live and maybe she’ll even drop some new music.

Lauryn Hill single handily took over the music world with her 1998 debut The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. The album racked up many accolades over the years and even scored Hill ten Grammy nominations, which made her the first woman to be nominated for a significant number of awards in one night. The album debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200 and broke the record for first-week sales by a female artist. Hill disappeared from the public after her pregnancy with her third child and the release of MTV Unplugged No. 2.0. She released singles “Repercussion,” “Neurotic Society,” and “Consumerism” between 2010 and 2013. There are still no signs of a new album, but hopefully, that’ll change soon.
