Mac Miller can now be considered a rap superstar. His first album Blue Slide Park debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard 200, making it the first independently distributed debut album to top the chart since Tha Dogg Pound’s 1995 album, Dogg Food. His second album, Watching Movies with the Sound Off, was an even bigger success debuting at no. 3 on the Billboard 200 and sold over 102,000 copies in its first week. As of 2015, the album has sold 250,000 copies in the United States alone. In 2013, Miller launched his own label imprint REMember Music along with scoring his own reality show Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family on MTV2. His third album, 2015’s GO:OD AM, proved to another hit for the rapper achieving mainstream success and he’s only 24. Catch Miller along with Jazz Cartier and ClockworkDJ at the Concord Music Hall for an official Lollapalooza after party on July 29th.
