Lumineers at The Chicago Theatre

June 19, 2016

Most folk bands don’t enjoy a lot of mainstream success, then again most folk bands aren’t The Lumineers. The band broke into the scene in 2012 with their hit single “Ho Hey,” which spent 18 non-consecutive weeks at no. 1 on Billboard’s Rock Chart along with spending two weeks at the top spot on Billboard’s Alternative Charts. Along with this chart success, their self-titled album peaked at no. 1 on several charts, including US Folk Albums and US Rock Albums. Since then, the band have made contributions for Mockingjay (“The Hanging Tree”) and The Walking Dead (“Visions of China”). In April, the band finally released their sophomore effort Cleopatra, which topped the Billboard 200 chart. Check them out when they play The Chicago Theatre on June 19th with Soak.
