Lollapalooza 25th Anniversary headliners revealed

Lollapalooza

Lollapalooza celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and fans have been wondering which heavy hitters the festival would rope in for 2016. Consequence of Sound has revealed this year’s headliners, which include Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and LCD Soundsystem. Lana Del Rey and J. Cole are also headlining according to the site. This marks Radiohead’s second appearance at the festival, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be playing the event for a fourth time. Their last appearance at the festival was in 2012.

Though LCD Soundsystem played Lollapalooza in 2007 this will be their first time as headliners. This performance is part of the band’s 2016 reunion tour. They’ll be making other festival stops at Coachella, Bonnaroo, and other major events. According to frontman James Murphy new music from the band will be coming soon.

To mark the 25th anniversary, Lollapalooza will be expanded to four days from July 28 – 31 in Grant Park. Four day passes go on sale Tuesday, March 22, which is when the rest of the lineup should be announced.
