Though Kevin Morby originally started out as the bassist for Woods and the frontman of The Babies, he has since left both behind to embark on a steadily rising solo career. After the release of his debut Harlem River in 2013, Morby put out his highly acclaimed follow up Still Life in 2014. Shortly after this, the singer moved out to a small LA neighborhood called Mount Washington where he discovered the previous tenants of his new home left behind an upright piano and a few pieces of sheet music. Morby took it upon himself to learn how to play piano and began composing songs for his next album. These compositions makes up most of his new album Singing Saw, which has even higher acclaim than his previous efforts. It seems Morby gets better with each album he makes.
