Jack Garratt only released his debut album Phase this year, yet he’s already one of music’s most exciting artists. Garratt first developed his musical chops in 2005 when he competed in a Junior Eurovision Song contest. Though he didn’t win, he continued making music. He began work on his first album, Nickel and Dime while pursuing a teaching degree. Being unhappy with the results, he dropped out of university and abandoned the album. Garratt tackled music from a different angle and dropped his debut EP, Remnants, in 2014. His single “Worry” turned heads in the UK and landed him a spot on the Reading Festival stage. He soon grew in popularity winning the Critics Choice Award at the 2016 Brit Awards. Judging from his success in a short time frame, it’s clear Garratt has a bountiful career ahead of him.
