Intronaut, North, Scale the Summit and Without Waves at Reggies Rock Club

Apr 3, 2016
Intronaut, band

Time: 7:00 pm

Tickets: Get’Em

Venue: Reggies Rock Club

Though LA band Intronaut are known as a progressive metal act it’s hard to pin them down once you hear their music. The metal sound is obvious, but their mix of jazz, progressive rock, and sludge metal give them a whole different sound. Their sound transitions within one song making each track a different experience. They’ve been compared to acts like Mastodon and Baroness, but this is a band that stands out on their own. Their fifth album, The Direction of Last Things, reached number 3 on the US Heatseekers Billboard Chart in 2015.

To support the album, the band is heading out on a North American tour this spring with The Ocean and North acting as support. Intronaut will play Chicago’s Reggies Rock Club April 3rd. The band provides some details on their upcoming shows by saying:

“To give you an idea of our show, we are planning on playing all the songs from “The Direction Of Last Things,” as well as some songs from all our past records. We are also working hard on a beefed-up visual production that should take you from zero to I’m-freaking-out-man in record time.”
