Saturday night in Chicago, Griz Good Will Prevail tour hit Navy Pier which cemented his growing success. Griz bopped up and down on stage with his guitarist/producer Muzzy Bearr. The 26 year old Detroit native dropped one of his most diverse and beloved tracks “A Fine Way To Die”, a single that would send shivers up and down your spine. He dropped several samples from “The Lion King’s”, “Hakuna Matata”, and Kool & The Gang. One of the biggest moments when Griz dropped a sample from Kendrick Lamar’s “To Pimp A Butterfly”, that had the whole crowd singing which felt like nothing in the world mattered. The night had something for everyone from 70’s disco to sax solos to groove with and a surprise appearance by Chicago’s own Probcause. Griz has made several changes to the music scene and his mantra “show love, spread love” is something we need. Griz made a Instagram post that summarized his experience playing to a sold out crowd check it out below.
