The multiplatinum Atlanta hip-hop game-changer Future personally announced his Purple Reign North American tour via his social media back in December. Chicago was the second stop on his tour and sold out the Aragon Ballroom. Last night was a concert you didn’t want to miss. Future Hendrix fans were in for a treat as Ty Dolla $ign and DJ Esco started the night on a high note.

Ty Dolla $ign set was a crowd favorite for a number of reasons. His set had a number of tracks off his critically acclaimed debut album Free TC, which released just last year. Blasé took the crowd to another level with them reciting every lyric. Ty set was so lit he even jumped into the crowd to show love. We look forward to hearing more from Ty Dolla $ign and be sure to check out his Spotify Sessions.

With brief intermission, finally it was the main event, Future Kendrix. Freebandz producer DJ Esco got the crowd’s blood pumping by playing bangers of his own plus those of Future’s before he took the stage. Dressed in all white Future takes the stage with a big smile and begins to take show to a whole new level. It’s no secret that Future has hit records for days and that translated into an epic performance. His set consisted of songs ranging Move That Dope to Jumpman to Perky’s Callin.

Hendrix performed for over an hour with a few breaks between songs at one point bringing back out Ty Dolla $ign. Future pauses for a brief moment to commend Chicago for being a great crowd and performs his last few songs. We were all leaving feeling great when he came back on stage saying “Yall Thought It Was Over, We Ain’t Done Yet” and everyone rushed back to stage to continue to party. Future continues to surprise us with albums dropping without warning, who knows what is to come next stay tuned.
