FIDLAR concert tickets at the Chicago Metro

Fuck It Dog, Life's a Risk

FIDLAR takes over the Metro on November 17 as part of their Too Much  Tour. Special guests include The Frights and SWMRS.

The band’s name may look weird, but it’s actually a mantra for the punks from Cali: Fuck It Dog, Life’s a Risk. It’s something they live by as best heard in their unabashed, unapologetic music. Starting the band back in 2009, they hit the scene with their debut EP DIYDUI, which dropped in 2011. Two more EPS followed in 2012: Shit We Recorded in our Bedroom and Try. These releases helped garner them a moderate following and fans around the world. Without releasing a full-length album, Stereogum named them one of the best new bands of 2012.

The following year saw the release of their first self-titled studio album, which was dubbed one of the most anticipated releases of 2013. It peaked at number 5 on Billboard’s Heartseekers chart. In 2015, they dropped their second album, Too, which fans were all too eager to eat up. The band’s music, along with their attitude and their hold no bars style is what makes them so appealing. If you want to know what you’ve been missing out on, be sure to catch them live.
