Father Misty, John Tillman

Joshua Michael Tillman AKA Father John Misty has been making music for over ten years now. Before embarking on his successful solo career, Misty has played in many indie rock bands, including Fleet Foxes, Saxon Shore, The Lashes, and Poor Moon to name a few. In 2012, he introduced the world to the next step in his musical career with Fear Fun, his debut as Father John Misty. Though the album did remarkably well, debuting at No. 43 on Billboard 200, it wasn’t until his sophomore effort, I Love You, Honeybear, that he received widespread acclaim from critics and fans alike. The album debuted at No. 17 on Billboard with 28,000 copies sold in it first week of release. You can’t deny his major success considering many of his upcoming tour dates are sold out, including his April 14th Chicago performance at the Riviera Theatre.
