The Cure at UIC Pavilion

June 10, 2016
Cure, Robert Smith

The Cure have been making and playing music for 37 years. Through their ups, downs, and constant lineup changes, they’re released some of the darkest and most iconic albums of the 80s, including Pornography (1982), Head On the Door (1985), and Disintegration (1989). Though they’ve since reached iconic status, the band have been pretty quiet since their last album 4:13 Dream (2008). They’ve made festival appearances over the years, but fans began questioning whether The Cure would ever properly tour again. Luckily, the answer is yes. This year The Cure are embarking on a massive world tour, their first in eight years. They’ll be playing two sold out shows at Chicago’s UIC Pavilion on June 10th and 11th. Scottish indie rock band The Twilight Sad will be joining them as openers.
