Underwood, Carrie, American Idol

American Idol may finally be over, but it’ll always be remembered for spawning one of its successful winners, Carrie Underwood. Ever since she came out as the winner of the fourth season, her career has only gotten bigger and better. Her debut album, Some Hearts, is only one of her best selling releases. It peaked at no. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached no. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Chart. The album also spawned hit single “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” was has since gone triple platinum. Underwood has released four more albums since then, including 2015’s Storyteller, debuted at no. 2 and made Underwood the only artist to score six consecutive number one albums on the Hot 100 Chart. To support the album, Underwood is touring and will make a stop to play Chicago’s Allstate Arena on May 17th. Easton Corbin and the Swon Brothers will be the support acts.
