Most bands don’t survive the loss of a founding member. But somehow Blink-182 did it. They are one of the most iconic and beloved bands in pop-punk. Their third album Enema of the State is one of the best albums of the 90s. They proved that music didn’t always have to be so serious; sometimes dick and fart jokes are okay. But even the band knows when joke time is over. Their 2003 Untitled album is considered a masterpiece that found them growing as musicians. It seemed like there was more to come from the band.
They shocked fans with their 2005 break up, but they tried to bury the hatchet and returned in 2011 with Neighborhoods. Things were looking up until inner turmoil came knocking again. It looked like the end for Blink-182, but they bounced back with California, which is another hit for the band.
Catch Blink-182 with the All-American Rejects at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre on September 9th.
