If you don’t know American Authors by name, you’d most likely know them by their highly successful single “Best Day of My Life,” from their 2014 debut album Oh, What a Life. The song shot the band in the mainstream and reached the top of the charts around the world, including no. 1 on Billboard’s US Adult Top 40 and no. 2 on US Hot Rock Songs. The single is only part of the reason why their debut record was certified Gold by RIAA. Now, the Brooklyn band are gearing up to release their long awaited followup titled What we Live For, out May 13th. The band shared the lead single from the new album, “Pride,” which is already generating quite a buzz. To support the upcoming LP they’ll be hitting the road for a summer tour, which includes a stop at Chicago’s Subterranean on May 14th. Ryan Starr will the opening act.
