Alabama Shakes’ career to mainstream success went on the fast track after the release of their 2012 debut Boys & Girls. Their distinctive soul/rock blended sound plus the powerful delivery of frontwoman Brittany Howard quickly made them one of the best modern rock bands. Their hit singles “Hold On,” “Hang Loose,” and “Don’t Wanna Fight” show the raw energy and passion that exudes from their music. And critics noticed this as their debut and their 2015 follow up Sound & Color received massive praise and earned the band three Grammy wins this year for Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance, and Best Alternative Music Album. The record topped the Billboard 200 Chart proving they could outdo themselves, which didn’t seem possible. Now, you can catch this much talked about band when they hit up Chicago for two nights on June 19th at Civic Opera House and June 20th at the Aragon Ballroom.
